Share Savings Accounts

Your share savings account is your membership in Associates Federal Credit Union. Your share account acts as your share of the Credit Union.

  • A minimum deposit of $5.00 opens and establishes your membership in the Credit Union.
  • For your convenience, a completed and signed payroll deduction card can also serve as your initial minimum deposit.
  • There is no limit on the number of deposits and withdrawals made to the account.
  • Day-of deposit to day-of-withdrawal dividends earned.
  • Payroll deduction is available and encouraged

Club Accounts

Open a Holiday, Vacation, or Special Purpose club account with AFCU and save for the holidays or special occasion.

  • Club accounts can be opened at any time.
  • Holiday Club accounts transfer to your main share savings account in early November.
  • Day-of deposit to day-of-withdrawal dividends earned.
  • Payroll deduction is available and encouraged.
  • Some withdrawal restrictions may apply.

Money Market Share Accounts

  • Minimum deposit of $2500.00 required to receive higher dividend.
  • Three withdrawals allowed per month.
  • Minimum withdrawal amount of $500.00 allowed.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) including Traditional, Roth, and Coverdell Educational Accounts

Traditional and Roth Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) are a great way to save for retirement. Depending on the type of IRA you choose, contributions may be tax deductible and will either grow tax-deferred or tax-free.

Open a Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA) to help meet the costs of a student’s education.

Contact the Credit Union for more information regarding IRAs, ESAs, or any of our other savings solutions. Payroll deduction is available and encouraged.

Certificate Accounts

Share, Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, and Coverdell Education Account Certificates are available for a wide variety of rates and terms.

  • $500.00 minimum to open certificate.
  • 91-day, 180-days, 365-days, 18-month, 2-year, 3-year, 4-year, and 5-year terms available.
  • Early withdrawal penalty imposed for early withdrawal.
